BDbites is Bradford's local food delivery platform, helping independent restaurants and takeaways keep more of their hard-earned profits while providing customers with a fast, reliable delivery experience.

We are currently building a network of reliable self-employed delivery drivers across Bradford to support our growing number of restaurant partners.

This role is ideal for drivers already working with Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat, Amazon Flex, courier companies, or anyone looking for flexible additional income.

BDbites is currently onboarding restaurant partners and preparing for launch across Bradford.

We are recruiting drivers in advance so that we have a reliable delivery network ready when the platform goes live.

Successful applicants will complete the onboarding process and be added to our driver network. Drivers will be notified as soon as deliveries become available and our launch begins.

Our goal is to build long-term relationships with our drivers rather than continually recruiting large numbers of couriers.

We're currently recruiting a limited number of drivers to become part of our core delivery team. By keeping our driver network smaller and more selective, we aim to provide better earning opportunities for the drivers who join us.

BDbites is part of a growing local business group with plans to expand into additional delivery and logistics services in the near future. Drivers who join us early will have the opportunity to become part of our core driver network as new services and delivery opportunities are introduced.

As our business grows, we expect delivery opportunities to grow alongside it, creating additional earning potential for our drivers.

What You'll Do

Collect food orders from local restaurants and takeaways
Deliver orders safely and efficiently to customers
Use our driver app to manage deliveries
Provide friendly and professional customer service
Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time
Represent BDbites professionally when interacting with customers and merchants
Follow all road traffic laws and delivery procedures

Requirements

Essential

A valid UK driving licence (if using a motor vehicle)
Access to a reliable vehicle (car, scooter, motorcycle or bicycle where appropriate)
Smartphone with internet access
Right to work in the UK
Reliable and professional attitude
Good communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Valid hire and reward insurance (or willingness to obtain it before commencing delivery work)
Vehicle must be road legal, insured, taxed, and have a valid MOT where required

Preferred

Previous delivery experience
Experience with Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat, Amazon Flex or courier services
Good knowledge of Bradford and surrounding areas

Earnings

Earnings vary depending on:

Number of deliveries completed
Distance travelled
Peak trading periods
Driver availability
Demand levels
Distance-based rates start from £4.30 per delivery, with additional earning opportunities during busy periods and for longer-distance deliveries.
Higher rates for longer-distance deliveries
Additional earning opportunities during busy periods.

Working Arrangement

This is a self-employed contractor role.

Drivers:

Choose their own working hours
Decide when they wish to be available
Can accept or decline delivery requests
May work for other delivery platforms simultaneously
Use their own vehicle and equipment
Are responsible for their own taxes and insurance where applicable
