Description

Sub Agent / Senior Engineer

Location: Dundee Area

Rate: Competitive Market Rates

Duration: Approximately 30 Months

We are currently recruiting for a Sub Agent or an experienced Senior Engineer ready to step up into a Sub Agent role to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project in the Dundee area.

This is a long-term opportunity on a significant civil engineering scheme involving large-scale bulk earthworks, material processing, concrete works, drainage, ducting and associated infrastructure works.

The Role

The successful candidate will join the site team during the early stages of the project and play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering the works safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and coordinating day-to-day site operationsSupervising site teams and subcontractorsPlanning and overseeing earthworks and material processing activitiesEnsuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental standardsProducing and reviewing RAMS, work packages and site documentationMonitoring progress against programme requirementsSupporting commercial and project reporting functionsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders Essential Experience

A strong earthworks background is essential.

This is not a simple cut-and-fill balance project. The successful candidate must have experience working on large-scale earthworks and material processing operations, with a solid understanding of:

Bulk excavation and fill activitiesMaterial processing and reuseEarthworks specifications and quality controlHigh-volume production environmentsTemporary works and earthworks methodologies

Desirable Experience

Previous experience working with SSE, Scottish Power or other utility clientsExperience delivering substations, control buildings or similar infrastructureWorking knowledge of highway specifications and earthworks standardsHNC/HND or Degree in Civil EngineeringSMSTS and CSCS qualifications
