We are currently recruiting for an experienced Handyman to join a busy social housing maintenance team carrying out repairs and upkeep across residential properties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work with a well-established contractor delivering maintenance services to housing association and local authority properties.

The Role

As a Handyman, you will be responsible for completing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks within occupied and void properties. You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to residents.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general building repairs and maintenanceBasic carpentry repairs including doors, locks, skirting and ironmongeryMinor plumbing repairs such as changing taps and fixing leaksPatch plastering and making goodPainting and decorating touch-upsFitting and replacing fixtures and fittingsCompleting reactive maintenance and planned works

Requirements

Previous experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Operative, Caretaker or Multi Skilled OperativeExperience working within social housing, housing maintenance, facilities management or property servicesGood all-round maintenance knowledgeAbility to undertake a variety of basic trade tasksOwn tools preferredStrong customer service skills
