Description

Our client is a well-established and highly respected structural steel fabrication and construction business, supplying and erecting fabricated steelwork across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a CNC Operator with experience working with Structural Steel Sections to join their busy Production team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator to join a growing and ambitious business, reporting to the CNC/Production Manager and ensuring all parts are processed accurately and on time, whilst ensuring materials are available to the Fabrication Department when required.

CNC Operator - Position Remuneration

£35,000-£40,000 depending on experience

Monday to Friday, full-time

Operate CNC machinery and associated equipment safely and efficiently, including overhead cranes

Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose before commencing work

Process structural steel sections accurately and efficiently, meeting required quality and production targets

Complete relevant documentation and record work activity using TnT scanning and Strumis systems

Carry out regular accuracy checks and ensure products are correctly marked before passing to the next operation

Report any machinery issues to the CNC/Production Manager or Maintenance Department

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment

Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and written work instructions

Ensure materials are available to the Fabrication Department when requiredCNC Operators - Position Requirements

Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing, engineering or structural steel environment

Experience working with Structural Steel Sections is essential

Good understanding of CNC machinery and production processes

Good attention to detail xjnqpsq with a strong focus on accuracy and quality

Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Conscientious, hardworking, flexible and health and safety aware

Ability to work to production targets and meet deadlines
