Assistant Site Manager

Description

A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a new build school project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious education scheme, supporting the Site Manager through a key phase of the build.

The Role

You will assist with the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. The project is currently progressing through:

* Building envelope

* Groundworks

* Internal fit-out

Responsibilities

* Supporting the Site Manager with daily site operations.

* Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring progress.

* Carrying out quality inspections and snagging.

* Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained.

* Assisting with site documentation, inductions and permits.

* Monitoring programme and reporting progress.

* Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.

Requirements

* SMSTS (essential)

* First Aid at Work (preferred)

* CSCS Card

* Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on new build construction projects.

* Experience working for a Tier 1 or recognised Main Contractor.

* Strong organisational and communication skills.

* Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced site environment.
