Description
Weekend Part Time Breakfast & Prep Chef required for Golf Club on Glasgow Southside.
This position will largely have a set shift pattern, working Saturday and Sunday 06.30am - 14.00pm. However some assistance will be required for occasional evening functions and daytime prepwork midweek. You will also be expected to provide minimal holiday cover on occasion. You will be expected to open up the kitchen and work on your own for breakfast, with another chef coming in for lunchtime. Serving breakfast and cash handling is an essential part of this position.
The role is a temporary contract running from 20.08.25 to 31.12.25. This will likely be extended beyond these dates, dependant on business levels. The role is expected to continue along the same time lines into 2026 and beyond and, if successful, you will be invited to reapply for the role on an annual basis.
Due to our location, it would be helpful if you could drive, although this is not essential. There are decent transport links to the club - the number 3 bus stops directly outside the club, Pollokshaws West train station is 10 minutes walk away and Silverburn shopping centre and Bus Station are also 10 mins walk away.
This role would ideally suit a young chef at college looking to increase their exposure to working a service, preparing stocks/sauces & soups, preparing meats and veg, kitchen portering and ensuring all Food safety regulations are adhered to. A Food Hygiene Certificate is essential for this role. Alternatively, an experienced chef, looking for just part time work (under 20 hours) would equally be ideal.
This role will pay National Minimum Wage, with tips divided equally on a daily basis.
Please apply with Covering letter and up to date CV.
