We are recruiting a dedicated, reliable chef to join a private household in Barnet, cooking exclusively for one individual. This is a unique role suited to a chef who loves preparing healthy, balanced, flavour‑driven food without the pressure of a commercial kitchen.

About the Role

You would be working in a private household, cooking exclusively for one Asian client.

The requirement is relatively straightforward — preparing two meals per day:

• Lunch: around 1:30pm

• Dinner: around 6:30pm

The Focus is on:

• Hygienic, healthy cooking

• Non‑greasy, non‑fried dishes

• Balanced, clean flavours

• Avoiding heavy, overly raw, or cold dishes

Cuisine Requirements

We are ideally looking for a chef with strong experience in Asian cuisine, especially:

• Chinese

• Japanese

Modern, refined, or fusion interpretations are welcome.

The client also enjoys authentic Italian dishes on occasion — simple, elegant plates like fresh pastas, risottos and simple Mediterranean classics.

What You WON’T Need to Do

• No washing up

• No general kitchen cleaning

A live‑in housekeeper handles all cleaning responsibilities.

Who We’re Looking For

• Strong background in Asian cuisine (Chinese/Japanese preferred)

• Someone open to private household work (previous private chef experience not required)

Fluent in at least one East Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese,) plus English.”
