Catering Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team, providing exceptional service and support in a dynamic catering environment. Duties

Assist with food preparation, presentation, and plating to meet quality standards
Support the set-up and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables and serving stations
Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Deliver catering orders to clients’ venues as required, maintaining professionalism during transportation
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining, and service areas throughout shifts
Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer needs promptly and courteously
Handle phone enquiries professionally, taking orders or providing information as needed
Assist with stock management, including inventory checks and replenishing supplies

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is desirable
A full drivers license is required
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Basic cooking skills and culinary knowledge are beneficial
Experience in meal preparation, serving, or barista duties can be an asset
Organised with attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or evenings if required
