Support Worker required, part time, £14.80 per hour, Islington area (ref AB/CD1)

Support Worker required to assist a male client. We are looking for someone respectful, compassionate, and understanding to support with daily living and organising health regime.

Duties:

Assisting with commuting to college Escorting to social activities, (cinema, bowling, etc) Help with attending appointments, etc Any other tasks appropriate to the job, as directed

Applicants must:

Have experience working with clients with complex health problems Physically fit to assist with moving and handling Very strong organisational skills be able to take initiative and develop routines and improvements to the care environment without much direction Be respectful and interested to learn about specific disability and needs Respect autonomy, independence, and dignity Maintain the highest level of confidentiality Maintain standard precautions, including health precautions to avoid exposure to illness.

Hours Available:

9 hours per week.

Friday's, 9.45 to 14.15.

Mondays,12 to 16:30 – Hours can be discussed and flexible.

Essential requirements:

Turkish speaker preferred but not essential.

Pay:

£14.80 per hour (gross).

5.6 weeks paid holiday per year, pro-rata.

Work Permit and References essential to this post. This job is subject to DBS disclosure. NOT Cash in Hand.
