Join Our Team as a Personal Care Assistant

Location: Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire

Contract: Self-employed

Hours & Pay

Weekdays (Mon–Fri): 10:00 – 18:00 (£18.20 per hour)
Weekends (Sat–Sun): 10:00 – 13:00 (£20.50 per hour)

The role covers two weekdays (10:00 – 18:00) and every third weekend (10:00 – 13:00 on Saturday and Sunday). Extra shifts may be available for holiday and sickness cover.

About the Role

We’re looking for a caring, dependable person to join a small, supportive team. You’ll be working with a friendly adult male with a high-level spinal cord injury. Although he uses a wheelchair and needs daily assistance, he runs his own business from home and is dedicated to his rehabilitation.

What you’ll be doing

Helping with personal care, medication and everyday routines Using specialist equipment for safe moving and handling (full training provided) Supporting with rehabilitation exercises Providing companionship and encouragement Assisting around the house and home office: cleaning, ironing, preparing simple meals, and occasional shopping

What we’re looking for

Someone reliable and compassionate
PVG membership (essential)
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Care experience and knowledge of moving & handling preferred
