Personal Assistant / Carer Role – Russell Square, London
About me
I’m Dean, a 50-year-old British-born, cheerful man . I have a neurological condition and use a wheelchair. I’m looking for reliable, friendly person to join my existing team of carers, helping me live independently and comfortably in my own home. And welcome people from all backgrounds — I value cultural and sexual diversity.

Essential requirements
• Positive, cheerful and calm attitude
• Physically fit — able to help with safe transfers
• Good personal hygiene
• Confident with cooking and meal preparation —
• Experience or willingness to help with domestic tasks, cleaning, and keeping the home tidy and organised
• Able to help with personal care: washing, bathroom assistance, and maintaining personal hygiene
• Physically fit — able to help with safe transfers
• Living within very easy reach of Russell Square
• Good organisation skills and memory
Preferred (but not essential)
• Non-smoker
• Previous care or domestic experience
• Male applicant (due to nature of personal care and physical assistance, but open to all suitable candidates)
• Valid DBS check and work references
📋 Your role will include
• Preparing meals and managing food shopping/collections
• General housekeeping, cleaning and keeping the home organised
• Assisting with personal care, hygiene and transfers
• Light household jobs and errands
• Working as part of a small team in a relaxed, stress-free environment
• Possible travel and support for hospital or other appointments
• Flexible support across morning and afternoon shifts
⏰ Hours & Pay
• Rate: £17.40 per hour
• Hours: Minimum 16 hours per week, up to 32 hours available
• Shifts: Morning and afternoon slots, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)— times are flexible
• Overtime opportunities available
• Paid holiday and liability insurance included
• Start date: October 2026
• Fully paid trial period provided
