Volkswagen (VW) T5 2.5TDI Camper / Day Van with awning and cover

I am selling my beloved VW van. I have had this van for around 11 years now.
I am your typical over-the-top / protective VW owner where the van is always kept clean and tidy, inside and out, and most definitely my favourite member of the family.

5 years ago, I had updated the seats, redesigned the interior to be more of a ‘day van’ which I can also solo sleep. It’s possible to also set up some supports to then have a double bed, but I hardly do that now. I also had the body paint redone (including colour coding the front grills) and since that time it’s been kept on the drive under a breathable fitted cover (which I will include in this sale).

It’s now mainly used by me as a day van or to camp over night in places on my own here and there. Mostly parked on the drive under cover, so looking to now do something else in Van-Life. . .

Due to its age there are some things any new buyer must know on this sale but that said there are so many more positive things about this van like the great condition it’s in and that it’s an absolute dream to own and drive. I have always regularly changed the oil and filters (every year normally) and proactively replaced parts as soon as any signs of wear showed its face.

It drives extremely well!! Just check out the MOT history (on the Gov site) to see how it has passed every year with no issues other then the occasional replacement of perishable items expected over time. Just passed the MOT so good for another year and I am confident it will be fine for many more.

Some modification information:
* Seats were custome made at the cost of £4000 and the photos just don’t do them justice. They are amazing!
* Custom made leather gear sleeve and leather door liner to match.
* Amazing custom made black out pull down blinds in red matching the Red leather seats.
* New top of the range Thule awning fitted with all the extras ( ‘room kit’) at a cost of £1600
* New clutch and Duel mass flywheel fitted January 2025 so has many more years and miles in it now.
* Sale includes the personal number plate unique to this van.
* 2.5 TDi engine so not only is it strong and powerful, it’s also not too terrible on the fuel (which is a bonus).
* 6 speed manual gear box.
* New Kenwood Apple play & Android stereo.
* Van is fully insulated and electrics fitted. Has hook up on the side for 240v power.
* New mega leisure battery which needs little other no attention.

So the bits you must know on the sale
* The van is now 20 years old so it’s does not have all the latest and greatest tech of a modern car. Sadly this includes no Air Con on this model.
* There is an issue with the internal air blower system. It currently only blows on the windows and / or feet. While this has not been a major issue for me, any new owner would need to look at some repairs in the dash area to resolve this. I have the part which was removed but needs a mechanic to open the dash area and resolve this. Only reason I have not had it fixed, is I generally drive with he blowers on the windows anyways.
* There are some signs of surface rust in a few places. Kinda of expected to its age but they are so small, it’s only found when looking and I’m sure easy to deal with if needed.
* The pop roof has some marks and slight (small) tears to the vented mesh but these do not affect waterproofing in any way. Best seen in person to understand but I will also say that I have never (in all my time with the van) used the pop roof in the rain. It’s been commented on before how good condition it’s in - I think I would just prefer it to be perfect.
