For sale is this practical, flexible and thoughtfully converted camper van. Registered in April 2017 this Peugeot Boxer L3 H2 has just over 98,000 miles (might go up slightly but stay below 99,000 miles), a recent full brake system overhaul and service, plus a brand new MOT valid until 23rd May 2027, it ready for summer adventures.

Originally part-converted and maintained with daily use, long-term family travel and practicality in mind, the van is unfortunately now being sold due to a change in personal circumstances. Great family memories have been made and it will be very much missed.

The van has been used as a mobile office, outdoor adventure vehicle (with room for multiple bikes, kayaks or SUPs), as practical load carrier for bulky items such as furniture or garden waste, and of course as a comfortable camper suitable for family trips around Scotland, the UK and into Europe. Importantly, the full 3.5m load length remains usable thanks to a flexible layout that can be further adapted for more versatility.

The conversion has been completed with adaptability and practicality at its core, making it easy for a new owners to personalise or further develop to suit their own needs and taste. Very lightweight and sustainable materials, including untreated and repurposed live-edge wood, have been used throughout to create a warm and natural interior. To minimise synthetic materials and off-gassing, the van is insulated entirely with 100% sheep’s wool in walls and ceiling.

With diesel heater, window covers, all-season tyres, and a custom-made awning with keder rail attachment, the van is well suited to year-round camping and has been used in the Highlands during night temperatures of -8 degrees.

There are five travelling seats with seatbelts, including two on the rock and roll bed. The original front passenger bench swivels 180 degrees to create a sociable living space. A large utility sideboard houses a fresh water carrier, camping gas cylinder and a 2-burner Cadac camping hob. These have intentionally not been permanently built in, allowing for flexible use of the work surface, outdoor cooking in summer, and preserving workspace for mobile office use. Multiple cupboard and storage throughout whilst maintaining standing height throughout.

The electrical 12V system is fully off-grid capable, with two large solar panels and a Renogy lithium leisure battery that still retains 99.9% of its original capacity. Lithium batteries can also be discharged much much lower without getting damaged. Despite this, the battery has always been so heavily supported by the solar panels that even in winter with extended heating use is has never been below 55% charge. The system supports both solar and the alternator charging, and once fully charged, the solar setup can also top up the starter/vehicle battery. A 1000W inverter provides 230V power for mains appliances and also supports hook-up charging when connected to shore power.

The two 180W solar panels are currently mounted on three HUBB Vectra roof bars, though dedicated Renogy roof mounting brackets are also included in the sale, if preferred. A large, energy-efficient 40L compressor fridge/freezer is included (shown in the garage) and can be used either inside the living area or in the garage space. It operates on both 12V and 230V power and is incredibly quiet. Also included are 2 levelling blocks, a spare wheel is mounted under the van and the wheel jack.

Mechanically, the van is in good order and has been maintained with regular services and repairs (most recently - Feb 26: full replacement of all brake pads and discs). The bodywork does show age-related marks and blemishes and imperfections consistent with age and its use as a port contractor vehicle in its first, and as active lifestyle vehicle in its second life. But nothing that affects its usability or reliability.
