2008 Dethleffs Esprit 7850 Tag Axle Motorhome – Huge Spec | Hydraulic Levelling | Lithium | Alde Heating | Satellite This 2008 Dethleffs Esprit 7850 tag axle motorhome has an exceptional specification and has been extensively upgraded to make it ideal for long term touring and full off-grid use. It offers a spacious 6 berth layout with 4 belted seats, featuring a large rear island bed, a drop-down bed over the lounge, huge double floor storage and a massive rear garage accessible from both sides. This is a very well-equipped motorhome designed for comfortable UK and European travel in all seasons. The interior layout features a rear island bed with wardrobes on either side and an additional wardrobe at the foot of the bed at the front of the Motorhome there is a drop down bed over the lounge area and the dinette which features a hydraulic gas strut adjustable table that can be quickly made up into a double bed if required The motorhome includes a separate full size shower with a radiator which is ideal for drying clothes along with a separate toilet room that can be shut off totally from the habitation areas for privacy. The kitchen area includes a large 170 litre three way fridge with oven above and additional storage below. To ensure reliable cooling in hot climates the fridge is fitted with two external fans and two internal fans. For entertainment there is an Oyster system with an 85cm dish that can be updated via SD card when frequencies change. There are two Sky boxes connected to two Avtex DRL televisions, one located in the lounge and one in the bedroom, allowing different channels to be watched simultaneously. These are also connected via Bluetooth to the motorhome speakers. The electrical system has been significantly upgraded with solar panels A Victron 100/15 MPPT solar controller and a Victron Multiplus 1600 inverter/charger which supplies all 240v sockets throughout the motorhome. The motorhome also benefits from ten 240v sockets, five USB charging points and LED lighting throughout. Heating and comfort are provided by an Alde wet central heating system with an engine heat exchanger which heats the motorhome and hot water while driving. For warmer climates there is a Truma Saphir habitation air conditioning system with four vents to keep the interior cool. For driving comfort the cab has air conditioning and is fitted with a Pioneer SPH-DA120 double DIN stereo with Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay. When parking up it has also been upgraded with an E&P hydraulic levelling system and VB air suspension including ride height adjustment via an internal compressor. It sits on a tag axle chassis with a 2100kg front axle and 1500kg on each rear tag axle giving a total weight of 5000kg. Externally the motorhome features a 6 metre fully electric Thule awning with three tension arms for greater stability in windy conditions, three support legs, integrated dimmable LED lighting and a full safari room enclosure. There is also a removable towbar with both 7 pin and 13 pin sockets. Gas is supplied by two 11kg Alugas refillable LPG tanks with an external filler mounted in the skirt. Additional exterior features include an external BBQ gas point and an external hot and cold shower. The water system consists of a 170 litre fresh water tank and a 170 litre grey water tank, both located within the insulated double floor making the motorhome fully winterised. The double floor also provides a huge amount of additional storage space with four access locker doors. The large rear garage has access from both sides of the motorhome and includes a checkerplate floor, lashing rails and both 240v and 12v power connections.
