Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day

A lovely family based in Mill Hill are seeking an experienced afterschool nanny to care for their two children, aged 4 and 6 years old. This is an excellent opportunity for a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys working with young children and can provide a fun, nurturing and structured environment after school.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for children of a similar age and be confident managing school collections, after-school routines and evening activities. They should be organised, responsible and able to use their initiative while following the family’s routines and preferences. Previous nanny experience and excellent references are essential.

Duties include:

collecting the children from school
providing attentive and nurturing afterschool care
preparing healthy snacks and simple meals
supporting mealtimes and encouraging good eating habits
planning fun and age-appropriate activities
organising creative, educational and outdoor play
taking the children to clubs, activities and outings when required
assisting with homework and reading
supporting bath time and evening routines
helping the children prepare for the following school day
keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy
organising school bags, uniforms and belongings
washing up and tidying after the children’s meals
running occasional child-related errands when required
ensuring the children are happy, safe and well cared for at all times
