The supermoto Aprilia SX 125 uses the RS 125’s fuel-injected, four-stroke, single cylinder engine that is housed in a steel double cradle frame. Boasting inverted forks, ABS, and smatterings of real-fake carbon fibre, not to mention typically-Aprilia aggressive styling, it looks a far more premium product than the price tag suggests. The SX 125 has a ‘big bike’ feel about it and while the seat height is quoted at 880mm, it’s such a narrow machine with soft suspension that in reality it’s far lower. The riding position is relaxed with tall bars and it’s as fast as any four-stroke 125 with solid road holding meaning you can happily top 60mph, which is all you need. The SX is impressive value for money The aggressive look and relaxed riding position that a supermoto style of bike delivers is good and the fact the SX comes with ABS is a bonus.

Jim Allan Motorcycles first opened for business in 1975 with a shop in Bathgate. Initially trade was centered on the off-road market with Franchises for Suzuki, Husqvarna and KTM.

The business expanded with a shop in Falkirk opening in 1980 and began to concentrate on the road bike sector. The shop in Falkirk became the main focus for the business and now offers full workshop facilities, has a large parts department and supplies ARAI , NOLAN , LAZER , X-LITE , SHOE and other leading brands of helmets. We also supply Alpinestar , Scott , Gear and other leading brands of clothing and accessories for all makes from most of the leading manufacturers.

Jim Allan Motorcycles holds main Franchises for APRILIA, BETA, MOTOGUZZI, QUADZILLA and SUZUKI. All supplied from both the Falkirk and Bathgate stores.

The Falkirk Store Hours : Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm and Saturday 9am-5pm.
The Bathgate Store Is Closed On A Wednesday.
