DIRTY **** CLAY PIPE CIRCA LATE.1800'S,MADE BY JOHN POLLOCK & CO,MANCHESTER.In excellent condition,13 cm long.
NATHANIEL BENTLEY 1735 - 1809 refused to wash after the death of his fiancee on their wedding day, owner of a Public house in Bishop's Gate LONDON called the OLD JERUSALEM he changed the name to Dirty Dicks it features filthy basement with dead cats and general chaos and it became a novelty to go there .In 1859 the new owner William Baker produced promotional booklets and memorabilia to advertise the pub one of these was the DIRTY **** pipe made by John Pollock's Clay pipe makers of Manchester in the late 1800's
