This is a wonderful and scarce original late 19th-century Austrian Ceramic Glazed Tobacco Jar and cover, in the form of an Elephant with Mahout rider.
The piece has a gorgeous, rich, treacle-like glaze. It is beautifully modelled and it displays well.
