Brief Description:
This is the ultimate piece for any collector of Beer Tankards!
It is the most magnificent and largest example we have encountered!
Mid-18th century, and dated 1759.
The outstanding piece holds just over 6 pints, and it is a whopping 25.6 cm tall!
Decorated with an impressive Coat of Arms, and hand-painted in colours of blues, greens, yellows and manganese.
Retaining the original hinged pewter and copper lid.
This is one of the finest and largest Faience Stein Tankards we have encountered.
Offered in an overall very good original condition, and free from any previous repairs or restoration.
There is crazing to the glaze throughout - see images.
