Description
A handsome late Georgian mahogany drop-flap table, dating from around 1800–1830. This elegant and practical piece features:
Solid mahogany top with rich, warm patina and attractive grain.
Two drop leaves that fold neatly down when not in use – perfect for saving space.
Turned and reeded legs in the classic Georgian style, set on original brass castors for easy movement.
Single working drawer to one end and a matching dummy drawer on the other for symmetry.
Perfect as a side table, writing desk, or occasional dining table, the drop-leaf design makes it versatile for both compact and open spaces.

Structurally sound and ready for use. The table retains its warm antique patina, with light marks and small dents consistent with over 200 years of use. There is a historic repair to a hairline crack at the top of one leg where it meets the table, which is stable and secure. Brass castors roll freely, though due to the table’s age it is recommended to lift rather than pull when moving it. Drop leaves and hinges work smoothly, and the drawer slides easily.
