Butler Rose are pleased to be recruiting for a long-established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice for a Trust Accountant role based in Preston, the firm are open to someone either at senior level or manager level. This role can be either full time or part time.

This role sits within a specialist private client team and offers the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of trusts and estates, supporting high-net-worth individuals, families and professional trustees. It would suit an accountant with existing trust experience, or someone from a practice background looking to specialise further within private client and trust work.

Duties

Preparation of trust accounts and estate accountsPreparation of trust and estate tax returnsInheritance tax returns, including IHT100 and IHT400Maintaining trust accounting records and monitoring trust transactionsLiaising with trustees, beneficiaries, solicitors and other professional advisersAssisting with estate administration and trust distributionsMonitoring deadlines to ensure all compliance obligations are metWhat we're looking for

Experience working with trusts, estates, or private client tax within an accountancy practiceACA / ACCA / CTA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experienceExperience preparing trust accounts and trust tax returnsGood understanding of trust taxation and inheritance tax mattersStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlinesGood communication skills and ability to work with clients and professional advisersBenefits
