Senior Financial Accountant – Interim

Daily Rate: Inside IR35

Duration: 6 Months initilly

Location: Hybrid – Bristol, 2 days per week

We're looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a high–performing finance team in a broad and varied role covering financial reporting, management information and technical accounting.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working with the numbers but also wants to understand the commercial story behind them and influence senior stakeholders.

The Role

Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting for senior management and Group.Prepare and analyse management accounts and MI, providing clear commentary and insight.Work across UK GAAP, HGB and other relevant accounting frameworks.Analyse financial performance and key business drivers, highlighting trends and opportunities.Partner with teams across the business to improve financial understanding and decision–making.Work closely with technical accounting on complex accounting matters and analysis.Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs.Support wider finance projects and initiatives.Help develop and support more junior members of the team.

About You

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong post–qualified experience.Strong background in financial reporting and management accounting.Good knowledge of UK GAAP and/or HGB.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Confident communicating financial information to senior stakeholders.Commercially minded, with the ability to understand and explain the drivers behind the numbers.Comfortable challenging existing processes and identifying improvements.Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines.
