Senior Accountant

Annual Salary: GBP55,000 - GBP65,000 per annumLocation: Chester - Hybrid potentialJob Type: Full-time, PermanentWe are seeking a Senior Accountant to handle the complete accounting operations of one of the subsidiary companies overseas but based out of Chester. This role is crucial for ensuring that all fiscal, social, and statistical requirements are met while maintaining high standards of financial management and internal controls.

Day-to-day of the role:

Manage all accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, and more.Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and safeguard confidential information.Process general ledger entries, weekly subsystem posts, and daily operational transactions.Conduct financial statement analysis, comparing actuals vs budget, forecast, projection, and prior year for sales, expenses, and other financial measurements.Prepare statutory financial statements, tax, and statistical returns.Assist in the preparation of accurate and reasonable annual budgets and other financial planning in line with corporate targets.Monitor cash flow and manage receivables to reduce risk.Process intercompany payments and ensure intercompany payable accounts are reconciled.Maintain fixed asset sub-ledger and ensure timely balance reconciliations each month.Manage payroll and payments, including company cars and fuel cards.Provide efficient assistance and communication with the EMEA, US, and Shanghai Head Offices.Support the local and EMEA management team by providing financial facts for effective decision-making.Resolve accounting discrepancies and interact with internal and external auditors during audits.Required Skills & Qualifications:

CIMA / ACCA / ACA QualifiedFluent Dutch speaker and ideally French speaking as well as EnglishMinimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a fast-paced international office environment.Knowledge of local accounting regulations and basic knowledge of local tax laws.Strong technical skills with ExcelBenefits:
