Description

Search are supporting the recruitment of a Payroll Officer on a permanent basis in Stirling with hybrid working. Working within a supportive payroll function, you'll play a key role in delivering a fast, confidential and compliant payroll service to a wide variety of businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who enjoys client interaction, working with accuracy and supporting multiple payroll cycles.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Setting up new payroll schemes and processing payroll data input

* Managing payrolls to required frequencies (weekly, fortnightly, monthly)

* Handling all payroll payments and statutory deductions, including bonuses, overtime, SSP and pensions

* Processing electronic salary payments and issuing secure, detailed payslips

* Managing Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns

* Liaising with HMRC on payroll matters and dealing with enquiries

* Ensuring full compliance with Real Time Information (RTI) requirements

* Maintaining complete confidentiality across all payroll information

* Providing friendly, professional advice to clients via phone and email

Skills and experience that will benefit your application:

* Experience administering payroll within practice, bureau or in house environments

* Strong understanding of payroll legislation and statutory calculations

* Ability to manage multiple client payrolls with accuracy and attention to detail

* Comfortable communicating with clients and resolving payroll queries

* Strong organisational skills, able to meet set deadlines across various payroll cycles

* Proficient with payroll software and MS Office

* High levels of confidentiality and professionalism
