Description

We are currently looking for a Payroll Associate to work on a flexible working arrangement basis at our client s London office. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to join an extremely reputable business, where you will learn, progress and work within an excellent team.

Duties:

Maintain a portfolio of client payrolls processing around 1000 headcount. An understanding of current PAYE and NIC legislation that affects payroll. Ensure all starters, leavers, benefits and allowances information is entered on to the Payroll database and update the relevant spreadsheet to record all entries made Calculate leavers pay when leaving mid-month Calculation of statutory payments Process P45 forms Print and sort payslips for distribution Run payroll reports Ensure monthly salary payment for client payrolls are transferred to the correct accounts in a timely manner Upload FPS and EPS reports to HMRC as required Good understanding of the payroll software and its functionality Respond to client queries regarding payroll in a professional and timely manner Deal with HMRC correspondence enquiries Maintain an up to date client status schedule Deal with general administrative duties, as requested Assist the Supervisors with BACS uploading. Review / Quality Check Associates payrolls to ensure accuracy. Resolve any issues with clients / deal with complaints / escalations Periodically review payrolls to ensure effective processing Skills:

Minimum 1 year s payroll experience Experience in processing high volume payslips An understanding of basic payroll concepts e.g. Tax codes, current PAYE and NIC legislation that affects payroll. A strong work ethic and willingness to assist other members of the team when required. Able to multi-task and to prioritise payroll workload Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills Have a knowledge of changes to legislation which effect payroll Confident and competent in dealing with clients Have a working knowledge of MS Office Good time keeping/punctuality
