Management Accountant

Description

Our client, a leading organisation in the transportation sector, is seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering an effective management accounting service, including month-end, reporting packs, financial monitoring and budget analysisSupporting and enhancing financial systems, processes and controlsProviding insightful business partnering to directorates-helping them understand financial performance and make informed decisionsOverseeing transactional processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, banking and reconciliationsSupporting cash management, treasury activities, audit processes and the preparation of the Annual Statement of AccountsWorking collaboratively across the organisation, sharing expertise and contributing to broader projects and improvements

Job Requirements:

A qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experienceStrong experience in management accounting, ideally within the public sector or a similar environmentExcellent analytical skills with strong systems and Excel capabilityA confident communicator able to explain technical financial concepts clearlyAbility to innovate, collaborate, and build trusted working relationshipsExperience supporting or leading improvements to financial processes and reporting
