Role: Finance Business Partner

Location: Coventry (Hybrid, 3 days office each week)

Duration: Minimum 6 months

Day Rate: £500 per day, inside IR35

My client is looking for a talented Finance Business Partner to join their Capital Delivery & Commercial Finance team, supporting a large operational programme.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner and working closely with the Programme Director, you’ll deliver financial insight, performance analysis, and decision support to help improve programme outcomes and drive commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:

Produce analysis and reporting to support financial and operational performance.

Provide decision support on business cases such as hire vs buy or insource vs outsource.

Support procurement activities with robust financial modelling and commercial analysis.

Assist with monthly accounting and reporting requirements.

Lead and support improvement initiatives across key areas such as stock management, scheduling, cost modelling, and productivity.

Present insights to senior stakeholders, ensuring recommendations are data-driven and actionable.

We’re looking for someone who:

Has strong experience in operational financial modelling, projections, forecasting, management accounting, and reporting.

Can confidently present to senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.

Is comfortable handling large data sets and converting complex information into clear, commercial insights.

Takes a proactive, business-focused approach rather than being purely technical.

Possesses excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Works well cross-functionally, challenging assumptions and identifying areas for improvement.

About You:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with solid experience in finance business partnering, analysis, or commercial finance.

Advanced Excel user and familiar with SAP ECC/BI and MS Office.

Highly organised, adaptable, and able to deliver in a fast-paced, performance-led environment.

A confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.

Holds a full UK driving licence.
