Play a key role in rebuilding a finance function Join a purpose-led, non-profit membership organisation at an important stage of transformation.

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone who enjoys getting beneath the numbers. Alongside regular reporting and business partnering, you will help resolve historic financial issues, improve data quality and contribute to the development of stronger processes and controls.

You will:

Support the month-end process, including financial analysis, variance review and reporting. Deliver detailed financial analysis across projects and restricted funds, ensuring information is accurate and clearly understood. Prepare and support donor and restricted fund reporting, ensuring financial requirements are met. Work closely with project managers and budget holders to review expenditure, challenge assumptions and improve financial understanding. Investigate and help resolve historical balances, financial issues and data inconsistencies. Contribute to the development of new FP&A processes, controls and reporting frameworks. Produce meaningful management information, translating financial data into clear, actionable insight. Build effective relationships across the organisation to improve financial engagement and data quality. Proactively identify process gaps and inefficiencies, helping to develop practical improvements. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning. Support the continued development of a robust and effective finance function. You will bring:

Experience within financial planning and analysis, management accounting or finance business partnering, ideally within a non-profit or public sector organisation. Strong exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and management accounting. Experience of donor, grant or restricted fund reporting. Experience using Microsoft Power BI or a similar business intelligence tool Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and turn complex financial information into useful insight. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of problems through to resolution. The adaptability to work effectively within an evolving finance environment. A practical, solutions-focused approach to improving processes and ways of working. Previous experience in positions such as Assistant Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant, Project Accountant or Finance Analyst could provide a strong foundation for this opportunity.

We want you to have every opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability and potential; please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustment so that we can help with making the application process work for you.
