Job title Client Advisor

Location - Plymouth, Devon

Workplace type - We offer flexible hybrid working arrangements.

Employment type - Full-time

Salary - £30,000-£35,000

Main purpose of job To ensure the client experience is seamless.

Reports to Senior Client Advisor Department

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of VAT returns

• Preparation of management reporting

• Preparation of CIS returns

• Preparation of statutory reporting

• Year-end opening balance adjustments

• Preparation of Corporation Tax returns

• Company secretarial services

• Data processing - including utilising systems to streamline processing

• Reviewing work from a Client Assistant prior to publishing this within Xero or relevant accounting system

• Go to person - for initial client queries

• Software support for clients

• Xero and app setups/training

• Budgets/forecasts with clients

• Assist with administration

• Training Client Assistant role

• Ad hoc projects General responsibilities

• Managing client’s expectations and delivery up to date nancials on time, every time

• CPD and ongoing training

• Ensure con dentiality of sensitive client data

• Direct communication with clients

• Working with other team members in order to meet deadlines

• Identify opportunities to improve/streamline internal processes

• Technology expert - ability to train others on accounting systems and add-ons

• To act in accordance with the business’ values and competency framework Skills & abilities Knowledge & experiences Personal attributes

• Ability to communicate with direct line managers

• Ability to communicate xjnqpsq clearly and concisely with clients

• Good accounting knowledge

• Use of IRIS, Xero, Excel preferable but not essential

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English

• Previous experience within an accounting practice preferable (1-2 years)

• Attention to detail

• Team player/social

• Open to learning new systems and processes

• Good communicator

• Articulate

• Ability to manage workloads

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to train others

• Refer to competency framework for specific behavioural indicators
