Description
This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking accountancy practice in Berkshire, looking for an experienced Client Account Manager to join the team on a fixed-term contract, starting around May 2026.
The role is expected to run for six months, with the possibility of extending to a year.
The firm offers a supportive, down-to-earth working environment and prides itself on delivering an exceptional level of service to small business clients across a range of industries. This is a hands-on role with plenty of client interaction, autonomy, and variety.
Role overview:
Reviewing year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, helping them with day-to-day queries
Providing guidance and support to junior team members
Ensuring compliance and accuracy across all client deliverables
Working closely with the wider team to deliver a consistent and proactive service
What s on offer:
Fixed-term contract, six months with potential to extend to twelve months
Start date around May 2026
Hybrid working, typically two days from home each week
Flexible working hours

About you:
ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
Strong background in accountancy practice
Comfortable reviewing year-end accounts, VAT, bookkeeping and corporation tax
Excellent communication skills and client-facing confidence
Able to hit the ground running in a busy, supportive team environment
