Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice based in the Telford area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper looking to join a supportive and professional team. Hybrid working arrangements are available following a qualifying period.

Please note: Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential for this role.

Role Overview

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working within a practice environment and is confident handling a variety of bookkeeping duties, including VAT returns and assisting with year-end accounts preparation. You will be working with a diverse client base across various sectors, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the continued success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit VAT returns for a range of clients

*

Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts

*

Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with regulatory standards

*

Liaise with clients and HMRC as required

*

Work closely with the wider team to support day-to-day operations

*

Handle ad-hoc duties and respond to client queries professionally

Requirements

*

Essential: Prior experience working in an accountancy practice

*

Solid understanding of VAT regulations and year-end reporting

*

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) xjnqpsq

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

*

Strong organisational and time management skills

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexibile)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hybrid Working: Available after qualifying period
