Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic finance team within a leading international travel group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numeracy skills, attention to detail, and a desire to build their career in finance.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will play a key role in supporting the finance function, with a focus on Accounts Payable. The position will suit an organised individual who is confident working with Excel and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Progression is on offer if you are studying or, if you are happy at this level, then this role will also work for you.

* Pay: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits

* Location: Central London - 3 days in the office required

* Working hours: 9:00am - 5.30pm

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing the purchase ledger (multi-currency) across 50+ supplier accounts.

* Reviewing supplier invoices and contracts to ensure accuracy of charges.

* Reconciling fortnightly BSP payments to airlines.

* Processing weekly invoice checks and payments to the parent company airline.

* Monitoring and reporting daily bank balances.

* Assisting with customer balance collections.

* Reconciling employee expenses.

* Supporting the finance team with ad hoc duties as required.

Skills & Experience Required

* Strong eye for detail and accuracy.

* At least 2 years experience within a finance function.

* Excellent communication skills across all levels.

* Demonstrated time management and prioritisation abilities.

* Highly process-driven with a problem-solving mindset.

* Excellent numeracy and good literacy skills.

* Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.

* Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.

* Team player with a collaborative approach.
