I have been successfully tutoring for the past 9 years after having taught primary aged children for 32 years. I now tutor, primary 3-7, using zoom.

I am conscientious, organised and extremely hard working. I am reliable and will dedicate myself to helping your child to realise their full potential. I have taught all stages
Pr.1-7 and was depute head with responsibility for Pr.4-7 for 17 years.

I meet firstly with you and your child to build up an understanding of all relevant information (this will be on zoom and free). This first meeting will give me a chance to have a chat with your child to put them at ease, allow a rapport to develop and help your child to feel relaxed.
I am particularly skilled in building confidence and a strong feeling of self worth in the children I have worked with. I work with the children in a structured way to build up knowledge and understanding. I email sheets/activities to be printed so that both your child and I have the same materials infront of us.

* My rate is £35 per hour.

Sandra is a great tutor and has made a real difference in quite a short time to my daughter's confidence and ability in maths . Both my sons have been tutored by Sandra for many years whilst at primary school. My youngest son, is just finishing up with Sandra this June, as he moves up to High School. Sandra is a wonderful teacher, who is patient, experienced, very structured and organised. She will tailor her sessions to the child's needs and requirements. She focuses not only on teaching the topic itself but shares clever strategies which has helped my son grasp the subject more effectively which has also lead to an increased confidence in tackling tough subjects. Sessions run over zoom and these have worked perfectly with my children. My children have had sessions with Sandra focusing on Maths and English.
