Description
GCSE and National 5 Business Studies Tutor
My name is Yadeep Fernando. I currently teach GCSE and National 5 Business Studies through private tuition. I work through the syllabus and past exam papers with my students, helping them achieve higher marks. I offer private tuition services.
I hold an MBA in Business, graduating with distinction, and was awarded the Course Tutor’s Prize at Coventry University, UK. I am also completed a BA (Hons) in Sustainable Performance Management degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.
Currently, I work as a Financial Analyst at an aircraft engine manufacturing company in the UK.
I have been tutoring for over five years. I understand that exams can be stressful, especially when certain concepts are hard to grasp.
I bring real-world examples to tutoring. My approach to tutoring is to make learning fun and relatable.
I also help students identify external factors affecting a business and explain their influence. Many students struggle to understand the difference between "identify," "explain," and "describe" in exam questions. I always explain these terms clearly using simple language until the student feels confident enough to use technical terminology.
I can also help students prepare for their school term exams, provided they inform me at least a week before the start of the exam term to maximise their chances of achieving higher marks.
Students who have taken lessons from the beginning have consistently scored higher grades in GCSE and National 5 exams.
Students find me friendly and approachable, which helps keep them motivated, engaged, and enjoying their subject.
