ONLINE Biology Tutor - National 5, Higher Biology & Higher Human Biology

My name is Laura and I am a GTCS & PVG-registered, fully qualified Biology Teacher with many years’ experience in delivering SQA Biology courses.

My diary for the 2025-2026 Academic year is now open and I am taking new students for tuition. I tutor online via video-call and have done so successfully for more than 5 years now.

I am enthusiastic and passionate about my subject - and often spread this enthusiasm to my students. As a tutor - I am happy to share all of my resources: lesson slides, full notes, past paper questions and marking schemes, learner checklists, etc.

My aim is to develop not only my student’s knowledge and understanding of the biology curriculum - but also to develop their confidence in tackling the scientific skills of problem solving and experimental design questions. Higher students often also require additional support as they encounter essay-style questions for the first time as part of the assessment for the course.

I am happy to keep in touch with parents/guardians throughout the process and inform them about the student’s next steps.

- National 5: £35/hour
- Higher Bio/Human Bio: £40/hour
