Description
Fully qualified Head of Computing with over 18 years of teaching ICT and Computer Science in outstanding schools in London and internationally. Currently Head of Department working at a highly successful independent school in North East London.
I currently teach Edexcel and OCR GCSE and A Level Computer Science but I do have experience of other exam boards as well as ICT teaching experience up to A Level. Preferred programming language is Python. I am currently tutoring students studying OCR, CIE, AQA and Edexcel. I am also an OCR GCSE examiner.
I have tutees from Year 7 through to Year 13. Most of the older students are working toward exam board specs as well as coding to enhance their wider knowledge. Lots of my younger students are completing coding workshops over 6 -12 sessions. Most go onto complete regular weekly sessions to develop their skills.
I provide digital and paper based resources as well as optional homework tasks which are assessed ahead of tutoring sessions. All of my sessions are now taking place online.
I have a number of regular tutees as well as representing agencies based in Asia. I also represent a remote learning company offering a huge range of exam boards. I am confident teaching a variety of specifications.
I make use of a tablet with an annotated stylus to make the session as interactive and guided as possible. We use a collaborative coding platform to ensure programming sessions are as supported as possible. Access to exam secure areas to ensure exam style questions form part of the revision lessons.
Sorry, I do not tutor adults/under graduates.
Please contact me for further information.
Regards
Michael
