I am a fully qualified primary teacher with more than 25 years’ experience in Primary Teaching. I have taught in a variety of schools over the years, teaching children from P1-P7. I have been awarded Chartered Teacher status, recognition of my excellence in teaching. I tutor in person and teach interactive, engaging lessons through Zoom. I’ll effectively tutor face to face in East Dunbartonshire or close bordering areas or online, whatever best suits you and your child.
I am very well organised, hard-working and committed to doing the best for your child. I ensure the resources and methods of teaching I use match the abilities and needs of your child. Any gaps in understanding or knowledge will be identified and activities planned to improve learning in these areas. I successfully motivate children in their learning, building self-confidence in their own abilities.
Initially I like to have a short meeting with the you and your child to discuss and gather the information required about your child and the particular areas to focus on to develop their learning. (This meeting be done via zoom/facetime and is free.) This meeting will enable me to Introduce myself to you and your child allowing a rapport to start and put your child at ease.
