Morecambe car dealership to close after owners fail to find buyer
DSG Morecambe showroom will close on September 30 after owners failed to find a buyer. The family-run dealership had served the North West for over six decades.

DSG’s Morecambe showroom is to close on September 30 after the owners were unable to find a buyer for the site, the company has confirmed.
The family-run dealership has served the North West for more than six decades and remained in the same family for over 60 years. The Morecambe site previously operated a Hyundai franchise before switching to Renault and Dacia in recent years.
A DSG spokesman said the business had spent considerable time looking for another operator to take over the site, with the aim of protecting the dealership and retaining staff, but no suitable buyer was found.
The company acknowledged the closure would be disappointing for employees, customers and suppliers. It thanked the Morecambe team for their dedication and loyalty, as well as customers and suppliers who had supported the site.
DSG’s Barrow-in-Furness premises will continue as an official Renault and Dacia Authorised Repairer, and Morecambe customers are directed there for servicing, repairs and vehicle enquiries.
