Solutions for a car that won't start:

  1. Jump-start the car. If the car won't start, it might be due to insufficient current from the battery. In this case, call a friend with a car to come and provide a jump-start. If the issue isn't a dead battery, the problem might lie in the ignition system or fuel supply system, requiring the car to be towed to a repair shop;
  2. Replace the spark plugs. The car's ignition system mainly consists of spark plugs and ignition coils. Spark plugs are wear-and-tear parts that need regular replacement. Over time, the electrode gap widens, and carbon deposits accumulate on the electrodes, affecting spark plug performance. Therefore, it's essential to replace spark plugs periodically. When purchasing spark plugs, ensure you choose the correct model for your car's engine;
  3. Replace the ignition coil. Although not a wear-and-tear part, the ignition coil can fail due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures. The ignition coil converts 12-volt electricity into tens of thousands of volts. If the ignition coil is damaged, it can affect the spark plugs' ability to ignite, potentially preventing the engine from starting;
  4. Tow the car to a repair shop for inspection. The fuel supply system's main component is the fuel pump. If the fuel pump is faulty, the engine won't receive fuel properly, making it impossible to start. If the issue isn't the battery, the car should be towed to a repair shop for a thorough check.
