The Honda Jazz (GK5) sold in the UK is designed to run on unleaded petrol (95 RON minimum). Honda does not recommend using diesel or E85 fuel in this model. For optimal performance and fuel efficiency, sticking to standard 95 RON unleaded is advisable, though higher-octane petrol (97-99 RON) can be used if preferred.

The GK5 Jazz features a 1.3L or 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine, both engineered for unleaded fuel. Using diesel or incompatible fuels risks severe engine damage. Ethanol-blended petrol (E10) is also compatible, as confirmed by Honda’s UK specifications.

For fuel economy, the 1.3L averages around 55 mpg, while the 1.5L achieves roughly 50 mpg under real-world conditions. Always check the fuel filler cap or owner’s manual for confirmation.

The Honda Jazz (GK5) requires 95 RON or higher unleaded petrol in the UK. This is the third-generation Honda Jazz (known as the Fit in some markets), featuring a 1.5L i-VTEC 'Earth Dreams' engine producing 131PS. The GK5 Jazz comes with either a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission - the CVT option being particularly common in Japanese cars for its simplicity and efficiency. In terms of suspension, it uses MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam setup at the rear, prioritising interior space over ultimate ride comfort. For UK owners, always check your fuel filler cap for the manufacturer's recommended fuel grade before refuelling.
