Dash cams can be securely fixed to your windscreen using either 3M adhesive tape with primer or suction cups. For adhesive mounts, clean the windscreen thoroughly and apply heat with a hairdryer to strengthen the bond. For suction cups, slightly dampen the cup before attaching for better adhesion. Popular UK dash cam models like Nextbase 522GW or Garmin 67W use these mounting methods. The UK Highway Code doesn't specifically prohibit dash cams but they must not obstruct the driver's view. Dash cams record video and audio evidence that can be crucial for insurance claims after accidents on UK roads.
