Description

Yamaha R1 4XV. 1999. Early bike. 31500 miles. Not mint but looks tidy. Polished frame and swing arm. Micron exhaust. It’s loud which is kind of fun but does annoy after a while (well me anyway). Starts and rides well. Kenny Roberts 50th anniversary pair job which is really quite good apart from the rear under tray which looks like it was done blindfolded. It does the job but really needs sorting. Also this bike was subject to an insurance claim in 2004. Don’t know the details but may explain the paint job.

New oil, filter, coolant, spark plugs, carbs overhauled with refurb kit. Could probably be balanced better than my effort. New battery.

This is an awful lot of bike for not much money. It’s so fast. I’m too old for this. I’ve enjoyed having it but I’m really after something like a BMW R1200 adventure bike. That sort of thing if you are thinking of going the other way.
