Description

The bike has been sitting unused for around 2 years, so the carburettors will require cleaning. I also suspect the carburettor floats may need adjustment, as the bike is currently running rich. This can be addressed at the same time as the carburettor clean.

I initially thought the issue may have been related to the AFR screws requiring adjustment or synchronisation, but these were checked and synchronised the last time the bike was worked on. Once the carburettor issue is resolved, the bike runs normally.

The reason for sale is simply that I no longer use the bike and would rather see it go to someone who can make use of it instead of leaving it sitting unused.

Work carried out:

Performance exhaust fitted (original exhaust was rusted)

Chain and sprockets replaced

New tyres fitted

Front forks refurbished

General service completed (although another service may be beneficial due to the bike being unused for 2 years)

Brake fluid may require changing due to the period of storage

Brake discs and pads fitted (condition should be checked due to storage)

Caliper O-rings replaced

Mechanical condition:

Apart from the carburettors requiring attention, the bike runs well mechanically.

Cosmetic condition:

The bike is cosmetically a little rough as expected from a older bike and would benefit from a thorough clean. It currently has inexpensive fairing bolts fitted, which could be replaced with higher-quality ones. With a bit of time and attention, it could be back on the road fairly quickly. Alternatively, it could be stripped for parts if desired.
