THE YAMAHA MT-01 IS A BIG TORQUE NAKED BIKE USING A MASSIVE V-TWIN ENGINE DERIVED FROM YAMAHA'S CRUISER LINE. THE 1670cc AIR-COOLED V-TWIN HAS 90hp AND A HUGE 150Nm OF TORQUE, ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION, ALL MATED TO A 5-SPEED GEARBOX. LOW DOWN PULL IS VERY IMPRESSIVE AND THE ROLL-ON IN ALMOST ANY GEAR IS VERY IMPRESSIVE.
ALUMINIUM SPORTS FRAME TAKEN FROM THE R1 IN THE DAY, WITH 43mm UPSIDE DOWN FORKS WITH A MONOCROSS SWINGARM WITH AN ADJUSTABLE SHOCK AT THE REAR, KEEPS THIS BIKE PLANTED TO THE ROAD. LARGE 320mm DISCS AND 4-POT CALIPERS DO THE BUSINESS UPFRONT AND A SINGLE 267mm REAR DISC BRINGS THIS BIG BEAST TO A HALT.
SEAT HEIGHT IS A FRIENDLY 825mm AND A 265kg WET WEIGHT, ALTHOUGH WHEN ASTRIDE THE BIKE IT DOES FEEL WELL BALANCED AND IS A NICE BIKE TO PUSH AND WHEEL AROUND THE SHOWROOM.
