Art Deco-era Elgin 10k gold filled mechanical wristwatch with a rectangular tank-style case and a sub-seconds dial. Fitted box. Elgin National Watch Company, a prominent American watchmaker active from the 19th to the mid-20th century. Art Deco "tank" or rectangular dress watch design featuring stylised blue Arabic numerals and a separate lower sub-seconds register. Typically dates from the 1930s to the 1940s, a period when curved and rectangular gold-filled or two-tone cases were standard. Manual-wind mechanical movement. Cash on collection from Poole.
