Washing machine with built in dryer
For repair, see below:
“The machine powers on normally, but as soon as I turn the program dial to any cycle, the fuse box (RCD) trips after about 3 seconds. This happens before pressing Start and before the door lock engages. There is no internal relay click before the trip. The socket is fine (other appliances work). For the last 1–2 years the machine has not been heating water properly and clothes no longer come out warm. Suspected issue: heating element shorting to earth.”
