Description
Unusual and rare Wrighton Tall Boy / Chest of Drawers with two doors at the top hiding a little cabinet with three drawers below all with original stylish handles. Dovetail joints.
Measures approx. - 45 1/2 inches / 116cm High x 31 1/2 inches / 80cm Wide x 18 inches / 46cm Deep.
All original and in particularly good condition for its age with small areas of veneer missing.
It has been stripped and coated in Teak Oil but could easily be re- varnished or painted to suit own decor if preferred.
F Wrighton & Sons Ltd of London were makers of high-class furniture. During WW2, the firm employed three hundred people making aircraft parts for the war effort. After the end of the war, Wrighton resumed the manufacture of Kitchen, Living and Bedroom Furniture. They established a reputation for quality and won several design awards.
