I am selling my immaculate 2012 Volvo V70 D3 R Design, a pretty rare car in itself due to the colour- ‘Passion Red’ AND it being an R Design spec with lots of options ticked. What makes this car particular special though is, FULL VOLVO SERVICE HISTORY- it’s only ever been serviced by Volvo Poole.

Being the R Design, it has the sporty R Design body kit, 18” factory R alloys, R alloy pedals, two tone leather heated seats, leather steering wheel, lower sports suspension, satin silver trim and mirrors, larger chrome exhaust.
This R Design also has rear parking sensors, heated leather seats, cruise control, electric folding mirrors, digital climate control with air conditioning, auto lights, Bluetooth connectivity and USB. The options were also ticked for the automatic tailgate, boot rail stowage system, integrated upper rear bumper protection, folding metal dog guard, fitted Volvo mats, fabric retractable dog guards and waterproof rear boot trim.
This car has the legendary 5 cylinder 2.0 diesel engine with excellent torque figures and superb economy, easily achieving 55mpg. Annual road tax is £215 with low running costs and low insurance. It’s known to be a bombproof engine and this one is no different.

The ultra-reliable 5 cylinder 2.0 diesel engine is an absolute gem; it’s been serviced regularly with a huge amount of documented service history, having been service every year without fail by Volvo Poole. Likewise, the 6 automatic gearbox is in perfect working order and pulls brilliantly.

Bodywork/Cosmetics
The bodywork is in superb condition with no rust at all or blemishes; the paintwork looks fantastic. The car is obviously used, but has been well cared for. There are a few minor spots of lacquer peel, most notably on the bonnet from an overeager jet washing in the past, see photo- but overall the paint is very good and the panels are all straight without any damage.

The interior is also in excellent condition; the R Design leather seats are in good order and are probably the most comfortable car seats I’ve sat in. The car benefits from Bluetooth functionality for phone calls. The car has lots of options ticked including rear parking sensors, electric folding mirrors, electric tailgate, folding dog guard and all weather boot protection. As well as the usual heated/auto dimming mirrors, auto lights, cruise control, digital trip computer, split rear seats, numerous air bags, isofix, digital climate control and ice cold air conditioning.

Summary
Overall, it’s a lot of car for the money, superbly reliable, returns 55 mpg and has decent road tax with low insurance. It’s perfect for commuting and load lugging if you need a reliable estate with a massive boot and comfortable seating for 5 adults.

Issues: none at time of advert. The most recent MOT mentioned a small oil leak; this was remedied by tightening the sump plug that as weeping. It will likely need new front tyres before the next MOT but they still have 3mm presently.

There are not many others available; certainly not in this rare colour, with the 5 cylinder engine and the R Design pack. What makes this car particularly special is that it’s coming up to 12 years old and it’s been serviced exclusively by Volvo, no expense has been spared in keeping it reliable.

Everything works as it should, looks great and backed by a massive service history. The car comes with 2 working key fobs, V5 in my name and original Volvo folder.

The car’s MOT has just been done; therefore it runs out on 31 JAN 2027. This car is also HPI clear.

Number plate has been hidden on the advert to deter cloners.
