Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver community-focused projects that create positive, lasting change across Devon.

Salary: £32,453 per annumLocation: Exeter, Devon, with hybrid workingHours: 36.25 hours per week, full timeContract: PermanentClosing date: 12 noon, Monday 21 SeptemberInterviews: Thursday 1 October

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of projects supporting rural, coastal and market town communities across Devon.

Working with communities, partners, funders and stakeholders, you will take projects from development and planning through to successful delivery, ensuring they are delivered on brief, on budget and on time.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing community development and regeneration projects, including budgets, resources, monitoring and reporting.

Engaging with communities to identify local needs and develop community-led solutions.

Supporting community groups, charities, social enterprises and small businesses through information, advice and training.

Developing and delivering consultancy projects and contracts.

Building effective relationships with funders, statutory bodies, voluntary sector organisations and other partners.

Delivering presentations, training and community engagement activities.

Supporting monitoring, evaluation and impact reporting.

Representing the organisation at meetings, networks and external events.

About you

You will be an organised, proactive and collaborative project professional who is comfortable managing a complex workload and working with a wide range of people.

You will need:

Extensive project management experience, including budget management and reporting.

Proven experience of engaging effectively with local communities.

Experience of managing multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training.

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience of using CRM systems such as Dynamics.

Confidence using digital tools to support reporting, research and stakeholder engagement.

The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Degree-level education or evidence of working at an equivalent level. You will also need to be able to travel across Devon for meetings and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
