Up for sale is my 2009 VW Golf 1.6 TDI. I am selling it honestly as spares or repair due to a running issue described in full below.

What’s been done

Brand new front headlights
All injectors replaced
Generally well looked after and tidy for its age need a little bit TLC
Condition

The car is in good visual condition. The bodywork presents well overall, with some light dents around the car consistent with normal use and age. The interior is in good order. Please see the photos, which show the car as it is.

The fault — please read

The engine runs unevenly / roughly. This is despite all injectors having been replaced, so the injectors are not the cause.

My mechanic has checked the engine and confirmed the pistons are in good condition. To diagnose any further would require stripping the engine down, and the cost of that work is more than I’m prepared to spend on the car, which is why I’ve decided to sell it as it stands.

I am not hiding anything and I’m not going to guess at what the problem is. I’d rather be upfront and let a buyer who knows these engines make their own judgement.
